Leucadia Roundabout Landscaping Thefts

There have been several thefts of plants and trees from the new Leucadia roundabouts. If your neighbor just acquired a new tree that looks like the one in photo #1 then please rat him or her out.

  1. I cannot believe the scum in our society. Probably some jackass from San Elijo Hills who can't afford to buy his own landscaping because his box is upside down and the bank is calling to collect.

If you know anything, please rat them out. Stealing landscaping is super bad Karma. So you will get bonus points for helping.

  3. Those trees cost Encinitas taxpayers money. So whoever you are, put them back. No questions asked, just do it!

  4. Hey, take it easy on this guy. He probably just needed a carbon offset. Don't hate him because he's trying to save the planet.

  5. Encinitas is changing for the worse. Small town no more. Welcome to urban living and the desperation that comes low income.

  9. This was my favorite tree. I always commented on how great the tree was every time I walk by. Find those thieves!!

  10. Take a closer look at the photo-compare the sidewalk and pavers to where the tree is shown and the hole. It's not the same location. Hopefully the person submitting evidence is not in detective.

  11. Tho tree photo is just to show what kind of a tree was at the location of theft. They are indeed two different locations but the photo is illustrative and provides information on the type of tree stolen.

Thanks J.P. for spreading the word. 1000 eyes on the street is the best deterent.

If you find someone in the act, please resist the temptation to prune their limbs and just call the cops.

  12. I say throw catcus on them, hit them with your car, and then call the cops.

  13. quit blaming the san elijo saps,
their homeowners association doesn't allow them to have landscaping like that, I should know my co-worker had to give me a nice queen palm they got for a gift because their neighbors ratted them out to the hoa and they had to get rid of it.

  14. The stolen plants were probably "invasive", as many plants may be soon if the City Council passes a law to "protect" us tonight!

  15. how about the guys who the city hired to plant them...THEY JUST MIGHT come back and do a little deal with someone who could sell them elsewhere? Like who would question a city truck or workers doing the deed

Very observant. Where were you when a Carlsbad policeman used false forensics to arrest, indict and convict my sister?
