I thought chalk painting is street art and not graffiti as it isn't permanent and doesn't damage much, other than some people's egos
The last one has it right!
Actually, it's a great idea...fill the 10' x 10' space with a giant blackboard and allow free expression. Other cities have done a similar "Freedom Wall." Why not us?
It will be an excellent place to put anti-incumbant political posters when election time comes. I got an idea: a picture of Baby Jesus holding a surfboard "where's my mommy?"
No Surfing Madonna. Traffic nightmare in front of Pacific Station. No park on the Hall property. Thanks Encinitas City Leaders.
Hello, it's summer and the traffic nightmare is everywhere. What would you do for the congestion on main arteries here if you were on the council? How would you pay for the park development? And what would you say to the family of the first person to die from a colision in front of the Madonna under the bridge? (Hey wait a minute, I'm sounding like JS!)

Oh yeah.... the big one... If Jerome didn't give away future millions of dollars to his own and every employees pension, the City could have afforded this project and many others. Jerome Stocks sold out Encinitas's future.
Thank you for posting on the Leucadia Blog. There is nothing more powerful on this Earth than an anonymous opinion on the Internet. Have at it!!!
