White Stripe

The dreaded north bound white stripe has been painted on the new slurry. Check out that huge traffic jam everyone was freaking out about!

  1. Yeah... Crazy back ups.

Some say this is what's dividing us Leucadians. I don't think so.

It's that damn easement on the railroad that divides Leucadians from their rightful egress to local business, bus stops, friends and the beaches.

Sidewalk it, roundabout it and crosswalk it on both sides with at grade crossings and forget about the damn tunnels.

Then we can all bike/walk to the beach, visit friends and local business that we want to without having to use the car.

  2. Come back and shoot another photo at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon during the summer.

  3. Even when cars do back up at the La Costa light, (and they will some, always have), the first roundabout at that intersection will remove the choke points of stop lights there - vastly improving all previous circulation.

  4. Nici,

Yeah. Will Do. The backups will be a the signals and all way stops. I guess you just got it wrong along with Mr. Marr. KLCC is way off base.

  6. Anyone get caught in a massive traffic jam tonight?

See anyone slamming on their brakes today?

Anyone swerve as to not hit a bike cyclist in the sharrows?

    I didn't think so.

Tonight was business as usual on 101.

    So far so good!

  7. The number of drivers that race down Neptune Avenue while bypassing the inevitable northbound 101 backups will now significantly multiply.

During the recent backups related to the new slurry seal, drivers were knowingly racing down Neptune in the wrong direction to save a few minutes of time.

Neptune Avenue, unfortunately is likely to end up with traffic slowing measures.

  8. 1. I'd like to see that.
    2. I'd like to know how you know they're cutting through.

  9. Ridiculous comment mc-dufus.

No one was driving south on Neptune last month to save time from the slurry project.

    Total nonsense!
